Q: What are the best thanks to assuring my emails in Mail are backed up?
A: Mac OS X comes with a feature called machine which can maintain backups of your entire computer including emails in Mail when appropriately configured. However it's also good practice to perform manual backups, you'll find detailed instructions about exporting a replica of your mailbox at

Q: Mail will repeatedly invite my password, how do I stop it?
A: There are several issues that will cause this problem to arise. Most frequently, verifying your settings will resolve this issue. If this fails to resolve the difficulty, then you'll get to reset the password for your email address within the (mt) Account Center, and supply Mail the new password.

Q: Mail states it can't "Verify Certificate". What does this mean?
A: This happens because you're set to use a secure SSL connection, which may be an excellent thing. However, so as to use an SSL reference to the Grid you want to set the Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server to be your access domain. Otherwise, you'll prefer to continue or ignore the warning, although you'll still receive this message within the future.

Q: Emails sent in Mail don't appear in my Sent folder, why?
A: When using IMAP, as we recommend for the Grid, Mail requires you provide a selected folder to save lots of sent messages. Follow these simple steps to configure this:

Click and highlight your account folder.
Click the "Mailbox" menu
Choose "Use This Mailbox For"
Choose "Sent"
This will configure Mail to save lots of new outgoing emails to the sent folder for your account. If you would like your previously sent emails to seem they need to be dragged from Mail's local Sent folder to the Sent folder listed under your account.

NOT RECEIVING EMAIL
Once during a while, your Mail.app (sometimes mentioned as "Apple Mail" or "Mac Mail"), stops receiving new Mail. You'll be ready to verify that you simply are becoming new Mail via web mail, another email client or computer, or maybe via a mobile. When this happens, the fix is awfully easy!

Here's how: From inside the Mail. the app, click the Mailbox menu (see Figure 1):

Take all accounts offline"
Choose "take all accounts online".
